Essendon Football Club has urged its supporters to fill Colonial Stadium to the rafters for this Sunday's round ten clash with Adelaide.

The Bombers will be shooting for their 10th consecutive win to start the 2000 season and Adelaide is the side standing between them and this historic achievement.

Essendon chief executive Peter Jackson said he would love to see Colonial Stadium filled with Essendon supporters to give a Crows a real taste of what it's like to play at Football Park.

"Any of the players will tell you that Football Park is a very lonely place to play football," Jackson said. "This Sunday gives Essendon members and supporters a real chance to give the Crows a taste of their own medicine."

The day is being promoted by the club as "Red and Blackout Day" with fans being urged to wear the club colors.

And there is still plenty of seating available for the match. Despite this, club officials are urging supporters to get in early for their seats to avoid lining up on match day.

There have been 7000 free seats made available to club members who don't have annual reserved seating.

These seats will be available until noon tomorrow after which time any remaining seats will go into the public seating pool.

"The club negotiated with Colonial Stadium management to have these seats made available to our members who don't have annual reserved seating," Jackson said.

"It's a terrific deal that we urge members to take advantage of and they can do that until noon tomorrow."

The club also has 4000 level 1 seats available for AFL/Essendon Club Support members.
