Essendon Football Club wishes to extend its deepest condolences to the Daniher family following the passing of James (Jim) Daniher late on Friday evening.
At the age of 90, Jim passed away on his beloved Hillview property at Ungarie in New South Wales, a farmer right until the very end.
His legacy will live on strong through his wife Edna, their 11 children and families.
Four of the Daniher sons – Neale, Anthony, Chris and Terry – created history by all playing for the Bombers. Between them, the four brothers played 752 AFL/VFL games.
Essendon's players will wear black armbands next week during the Bombers’ clash against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.
