Fletcher cops reprimand for tripping report
Essendon full back Dustin Fletcher will be given a reprimand by the AFL match review panel if he pleads guilty to a charge of tripping Richmond’s Andrew Krakouer in the third quarter of last Saturday night’s ‘Dreamtime at the G’ game.
Essendon full back Dustin Fletcher will be given a reprimand by the AFL match review panel if he pleads guilty to a charge of tripping Richmond’s Andrew Krakouer in the third quarter of last Saturday night’s ‘Dreamtime at the G’ game.
Essendon officials are currently considering if they will contest the charge but that appears an unlikely scenario. It is a timely break for the Bombers with Fletcher having been one of the Bombers standout performers this season.
The news wasn't so good for Henry Slattery who was given a one-match penalty for striking. There is however some chance the Bombers could contest the finding.
Young Bomber Henry Slattery faces a nervous wait after being reported during the Bendigo Bombers 45-point loss to Coburg yesterday. Slattery would have been in the mix to replace Scott Camporeale who will miss the next three weeks with a hamstring injury.
