Despite earlier reports, Essendon Football Club can confirm captain Jobe Watson did not suffer an injury at training this morning.
Watson will resume training tomorrow morning with the playing list ahead of next week’s NAB Cup opener against Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
The reigning Brownlow Medallist thanked fans for their concern earlier this afternoon.
"My leg is fine but thank you all for your concern," he said.
