Essendon Football Club is pleased to announce Yakult Australia has extended its partnership with the Bombers for a further year as premier partner and official match-ball partner - a position it has held since 2005.
The new agreement will see Yakult remain as the Bombers’ longest serving commercial partner as it enters a 15th consecutive year with the red and black.
Yakult is a fermented milk drink that contains a high concentration of the unique bacteria lactobacillus casei shirota strain.
Essendon CEO Xavier Campbell said the extension was reflective of the enduring and strong relationship between the two organisations.
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Yakult for an additional year,” Campbell said.
“This year, our partnership will see a focus on increasing engagement with fans and members, with Yakult providing product to tours and community groups at our industry-leading headquarters and training facility, The Hangar.
“Yakult has shown incredible loyalty to the Club over our journey together and we are appreciative of the genuine partnership that we have.”

Yakult will remain a key part of the nutritional program at Essendon, with a focus on immunity and wellbeing.
Yakult Australia managing director Mr Kenji Ono said it would be an exciting year ahead for the partnership.
“Yakult is proud to be the Bombers’ longest serving commercial partner,” Mr Ono said.
“We share the club’s passion for loyalty and maintaining the highest standards. We look forward to supporting the team in the coming season and wish the players every success.”
Yakult will also be the event partner of the club’s Crichton Medal later in the year.
