Two of the AFL’s greatest ever full-forwards will reignite their on-field rivalry next week at Marvel Stadium all in the name of charity.
Essendon legend Matthew Lloyd and North Melbourne legend Wayne Carey will face off in the new Legends’ Kick for the Kids half-time activation in the Good Friday blockbuster clash.
At half-time during the Bombers’ round five match against the Kangaroos in support of the Good Friday Appeal, the pair will don their respective No.18 guernseys and go head-to-head in a battle in front of goal.
The shoot-out will take place at half-time, and for every goal kicked, a set amount will be donated to the Good Friday Appeal.
Each legend will have 30 seconds to boot as many goals as he can from three different locations inside the 50m arc.
The Bombers are urging all mighty red and black supporters to get behind the Good Friday Appeal by donating to Team Lloyd.
Bragging rights will be on the line between Lloyd and Carey when tens of thousands of dollars will be donated to the Good Friday Appeal as a result of the new, innovative activation.
