Essendon VFLW has made three changes to its side for its round two clash with Geelong at Central Reserve in Colac on Saturday.
Indigenous rookie Freda Puruntatameri will make her debut in the red and black alongside star recruit Ally Anderson and fellow newcomer Lauren Ahrens.
Anderson is an inaugural member of Brisbane’s AFLW side and starred for the Lions in 2019, earning their best and fairest and All-Australian selection.
The Indigenous midfielder averaged 21 disposals a game in 2019 and has proven durable in her three AFLW seasons, playing all 23 possible games.
Ahrens featured in 13 VFLW games for Melbourne University last season and will add size and strength to the side, with her aerial prowess a highlight.
Isabel Currenti, Katherine McFadyen and Molly Warburton sit on the interchange, while recruits Tessa Zagontinos and Elizabeth Hosking could potentially make their debuts against the Cats after being included as emergencies.
Eloise Ashley-Cooper has been named as the 23rd player.
The Bombers will be looking to get back on the winners list against Geelong, having suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss to Casey in their season opener at the weekend.
The team will be finalised ahead of the match, with the first bounce at 12pm on Saturday.
