Essendon assistant coach Simon Goodwin has lived out every golfers dream hitting a hole in one at a corporate golf day on Friday afternoon.

Goodwin was playing in the Gary Peer and Associates golf day at Cranbourne Golf Club.

The former Adelaide midfielder sunk the 184m super shot at the 12th hole using a 4 iron.

“It’s really every golfers dream and to see that ball go in the hole was an amazing feeling,” Goodwin said.

“It is a very exciting moment when you see the ball disappear and then get to the hole to realize it has actually gone in.”

Goodwin will be back on the training track on Saturday as he helps the team prepare for its season opener against North Melbourne.
