Essendon’s bruising encounter with Richmond has added to the club’s injury list with three more casualties.
Andrew Welsh (concussion), Angus Monfries (ankle) and Jay Neagle (ankle) were unable to finish the game and are in doubt for this Saturday's big clash with Collingwood at the MCG.
Of the three, Welsh is the most likely to play after suffering a heavy knock to the head in the first quarter that left him concussed.
Dustin Fletcher is a possibility to resume against Collingwood after an ankle injury kept him out of the Tigers match.
The injury news is better for Darcy Daniher and Courtenay Dempsey who will undergo fitness tests this week to determine whether they are able to return - most likely with Bendigo - to football on the weekend.
Courtney Johns will undergo a knee reconstruction today as a result of an injury sustained in the VFL.
