The Bombers are excited to announce the appointment of Lachlan Walker as AFLW Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2025 season, he will join returning Assistant Coaches Natasha Hardy and Paul Groves.

Throughout Walkers coaching journey, he has held key roles with North Melbourne (VFLW), Williamstown (VFLW), and has been involved in various junior and women’s development programs, including the St Kilda Next Generation Academy and South Metro Junior Football League.

Most recently, he was the VFLW Head Coach at Darebin Women’s Sports Club, where he developed and executed the Club’s football and coaching strategy, implemented an extensive game plan whilst cultivating a culture of personal growth and success.

With a strong track record in player development, strategic planning, and high-performance coaching, Walker brings experience across multiple levels of the game with the credentials to match.

He is currently completing his AFL Level 3 Senior Coaching Certificate and holds several coaching accreditations, further cementing his commitment to coach at the elite level.

Importantly, Walker aligns with the values of growth, respect, and collaboration that underpin the Bombers AFLW program and is eager to get started and help drive the success of the AFLW program.
