Essendon has secured an additional first and second-round selection in this year’s AFLW National Draft following the conclusion of Trade Period.
A deal with St Kilda on Wednesday afternoon saw the Dons lock away pick No.8 in this year’s draft in exchange for former pick No.4 Amber Clarke, who departs the club after 29 games.
The club also secured pick No.35 in a trade with the Swans, which saw 26-game defender Ash Van Loon join Sydney as part of the deal.
As part of the Swans deal, Port Adelaide received Essendon’s pick No.47.
The 2024 AFLW National Draft begins on Monday, December 16.
