The AFLW has confirmed the fixturing for Essendon's week 10 clash with Carlton.

IKON Park will play host to the primetime clash, with the Bombers and Blues set to square off on Saturday, November 2 from 7:15pm.

With both sides currently pushing to lock away positions in the top eight, the encounter's result could hold big stakes in the context of the season.

The final round match, part of the second week of AFLW Indigenous Round, will also be broadcast on free-to-air via Ch 7.
