Captain Zach Merrett has claimed the Liberty Player of the Month Award for rounds 21-24.

After claiming nominations in rounds one-to-four and five-to-eight, Merrett's third nomination for the season has come off the back of his irrepressible form.

Zach Merrett has taken out the award for the month of August

In the final four rounds of the year, Merrett influentially averaged 27.5 disposals, 6.5 clearances and 5.5 tackles per game.

His end to the season was also capped off with an All-Australian squad nomination.
