Forward Nate Caddy has earned round 22's Telstra AFL Rising Star nomination.
The first-year excitement machine becomes the Bombers' first rising star nominee in 2024, and the club's first since midfielder Ben Hobbs in round 14, 2022.
In his eighth AFL game, Caddy shone brightly in the Dons' forwardline with three goals, 15 disposals and six marks.
Originally selected with pick No.10 in last year's AFL National Draft, the Northern Knights product earned his senior debut in Essendon's round 11 Dreamtime at the 'G clash and has booted nine goals so far in his first season.
The 19-year-old has featured in Essendon's last six games, finding a permanent spot as a key tall, showcasing his athletic aerial work and versatility at ground level.
Caddy is in the running to become the Bombers' next AFL Rising Star winner after current teammates Dyson Heppell (2011) and Andrew McGrath (2017).
