Essendon's renewed off-field community strategy has been at the forefront in recent months.

Across all football programs, the club has been prominent in its support both around its North-West corridor and regional areas.

Last month, the AFLW squad ventured to Shepparton for their annual pre-season community camp, spending time with students in the area and hosting an open training session.

The AFL squad have followed suit with several activations in recent weeks, especially surrounding last week's Community Game against Fremantle.

Players attended Dallas Junior Football Club to run a footy clinic and spend time with the local players and their families, promoting the club's push to introduce the game to new and existing members in the North-West region.

The Bombers also surprised Tullamarine Sports Club with a gift of $10,000 this week, thanks to Fujitsu in celebration of their 10-year partnership.

Attended by a group of players including skippers Zach Merrett and Bonnie Toogood, the players were able to spend quality time with the club's different teams as they acknowledged a significant milestone in the long-standing partnership with their Co-Major Partner.

The activation also coincided with the club's Member Thank You Round.

Celebrating their members, the Bombers are highlighting those who've played a role in supporting and shaping the club over the years.

In the last fortnight, the Bombers also concluded their 2024 VWFL campaign.

A key component of the Essendon community, the wheelchair team showed signs of development throughout the season but bowed out in an elimination final loss at the State Netball and Hockey Centre.
