Xavier Duursma is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks due to a hamstring strain.
The winger sustained the injury during the fourth quarter of the Bombers’ stirring one-point win over Fremantle on Sunday as he made a chasing effort to tackle.
With their sub already activated, the Bombers finished the game one player short as Duursma sat out the remainder of the contest. Follow-up scans on Monday morning confirmed the full extent of his injury.
“It’s unfortunate news for Xavier, who’ll most likely miss the remainder of our home-and-away campaign,” GM – AFL Daniel McPherson said.
“He’ll begin his rehab program this week and we’re hopeful it won’t be the last we see of him on-field this season.”
