Essendon has confirmed four changes to its round 21 side to take on Fremantle at the MCG.

Headlining the list of inclusions is debutant Archie Roberts, who has earned his first AFL game after starring for Essendon's VFL side.

Roberts' recent reserves teammates in forward Alwyn Davey and ruckman Nick Bryan have also earned recalls, set to lineup for their first AFL games since rounds 11 and 12 respectively after producing a string of consistent performances.

Rounding out the inclusions into Essendon's lineup is defender Jake Kelly, who missed round 20 with an achilles injury.

Making way for the Bombers is defender Jordan Ridley (hip), forward Archie Perkins (omitted), forward Peter Wright (omitted) and defender Dyson Heppell (omitted).
