Time to make it count.
Essendon’s wheelchair teams are set to line up for their elimination finals this Sunday, where both the VWFL and CWFL squads will take on Collingwood.
The high-stakes clash marks a third consecutive finals appearance for the Bombers, who are keen to bounce back and go one better than last season, where they bowed out in the first week of finals.
A key component will be Caleb Logan, who’s recaptured the form that’s made him such a threat within the competition over the last few campaigns – his five-goal haul against Richmond in round 10 took his tally for the season to a whopping 74 goals.
Skipper James Leonard will be hoping to spur on his side as each team seek their first head-to-head win over the Pies this year.
The VWFL will kick off proceedings from the State Netball and Hockey Centre at 1pm AEST on Sunday, with the CWFL to follow at 2pm.
