Essendon has made one confirmed change ahead of its Sunday twilight clash with Gold Coast.

After impressing in his debut last week in Dreamtime at the 'G, young forward Nate Caddy comes out of the side with illness.

In line to replace Caddy is key forward Harrison Jones who has served his one week suspension for rough conduct.

Also named on the extended bench is young ruckman Nick Bryan, who dominated in his VFL performance last week with 43 hitouts, 25 disposals and one goal.

Small forward Jye Menzie who kicked two goals in a half of VFL is also in-line for a potential call-up, alongside defender Archie Roberts who's put in a string of promising performances.

The Bombers will announce their final team tomorrow at 5pm.
