Essendon are proud to be involved in the ninth Sir Doug Nicholls Round, which will be held across Rounds 10-11 of the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. The theme of this year’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round is ‘Spirit Strong, Game On’, which recognises the resilience and strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The theme also honours Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s traditions, enduring spirit, and ongoing impact and legacy they have in Australian Rules Football and society.

THE LONG WALK
The Long Walk is in a new location this year as it celebrates it’s 20th year.
Join us from 2pm at Yarra Park, located outside of Gate two at the MCG. There’ll be lots to do for the whole family, with live performances from First Nations artists, food trucks for a bite to eat, plenty of games, craft and cultural activations, facepainting. Not to mention live performances, with the talented Briggs headlining the show.
Not only will we be there, our friends at Fujitsu, Dutton Automotive, Liberty, Coles, Palo Alto Networks, Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation will all be there, so be sure to say g’day.
The iconic Walk to the 'G' from the live site starts at 5:30pm Sharp.

TICKETS
Tickets for this match have sold out. As this is a fully ticketed match, members without a reserved seat will not be able to scan in.
MEMBERSHIP INFO
A reminder that Dreamtime is a fully ticketed event with NO GENERAL ADMISSION available. All patrons must hold a valid match day ticket or club membership to access the game. There will be no tickets available for purchase at the gate.
Fans wishing to attend the VFL curtain raiser must have a valid match day ticket.
All members without reserved seats must have upgraded to a seat through Ticketek and use the ticket in your Ticketek account to get into the ground.
For all members with reserved seats have two ways to access the game. Your physical membership card has a barcode that will allow you to scan entry at the turnstiles. If you are yet to receive your card or prefer the convenience of using your mobile device, simply log in to the official Essendon app using your membership details to access your mobile membership. 2024 Dreamtime Guernsey Auction
You have the chance to own a piece of history with the match-worn and player issue Dreamtime guernsey’s up for auction! Each authentic Dreamtime Guernsey is displayed in a special presentation box and will be player-signed. All proceeds from the auction are donated to the The Long Walk, and each guernsey is officially licensed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

GETTING THERE AND ENTRY TO THE GROUND
There will be limited parking at the ‘G on Saturday, with only accredited passholders and disability permit holders having access to the carpark, so we recommend looking at alternative transportation methods. The stadium is only a short walk from both Jolimont and Richmond Stations.
For those that do have parking access, the following gates will be open. Gate five from 6am, Gate three from 1pm and Gate five from 3pm.
