Zach Merrett has taken home Liberty Player of the Month honours for April, 2024.

Essendon's Captain becomes the first player to go back-to-back in the monthly award, averaging 30.4 disposals in rounds five to eight of 2024.

Zach Merrett has taken out the award for the month of April.

Merrett has been one of the standout midfielders of the AFL this year and enters round nine having come off a 29 disposal, three-goal game against West Coast.

Each month, the club will announce the winner of the Liberty Player of the Month, culminating in the Liberty Player of the Year at season's end - an award won by gun forward Kyle Langford last season.
