Zach Merrett has taken home Liberty Player of the Month honours for March 2024.

The Bombers' star midfielder has picked up where he left off from a fantastic first season as Captain in 2023, averaging 32 disposals, six clearances and five tackles per game across the opening four rounds of 2024.

Often praised for his foot skills and free-thinking play, Merrett's tenacity and on-ground leadership have stood out through the first month of the campaign, helping propel the Dons to early season victories over the Hawks in round one and St Kilda in round three.

Zach Merrett has taken out the award for the month of March.

Merrett's class was best displayed in the round two clash against the Swans, booting two huge final-term goals to help his side surge into the contest despite the eventual loss.

Each month, the club will announce the winner of the Liberty Player of the Month, culminating in the Liberty Player of the Year at season's end - an award won by gun forward Kyle Langford last season.
