Essendon stars Dustin Fletcher, Jobe Watson and Brendon Goddard have been selected in the 24-man squad for November’s International Rules series against Ireland.
The AFL has announced a star-studded squad made up of exclusively All Australian’s to take on the Irish in Perth on November 22.
The team captain is yet to be announced in a squad including Patrick Dangerfield, Nat Fyfe, Luke Hodge and Steve Johnson.
Nine members of this year’s All Australian team are in the squad to be coached by premiership coach Alistair Clarkson.
Watson has not played the round ball code but his teammates Brendon Goddard is returning for his second series.
Veteran defender Dustin Fletcher has been named to take part in his fourth International Rules series.
The 39-year-old is expected to take up his regular position as goal keeper when the final team is announced.
