Midfielder Darcy Parish is in line for a potential return this weekend after missing the round two trip to Sydney.
Despite being made medically available ahead of last week’s game, Parish took a cautious approach and will again look to get through this week's main training session to prove his fitness.
Jake Kelly, also a late withdrawal from the Sydney game, is expected to be available to take on the Saints this Saturday as he continues to recover from illness.
Important defender Jordan Ridley is tracking well in his recovery from a pre-season quad injury, and is hopeful of being available to return for the Bombers' round four Gather Round clash with Port Adelaide.
Dylan Shiel was a late out for the Bombers' VFL season-opener against Brisbane on Saturday after injuring his adductor in the warm-up, with a decision on his availability to play this weekend to be made later in the week.
Meanwhile, forward Matt Guelfi remains sidelined as he recovers from a calf injury sustained in round one.
Andrew McGrath and Will Setterfield each copped minor knocks in the loss to Sydney, but the pair are expected to be available for round three as the club monitors their progress through the week.
