Mark Jamar came from the field early in the term and had ice applied to his upper leg.  Matthew Leuenberger was also taken from the field, leaving Joe Daniher to shoulder the ruck duties.  Leuenberger later returned to the ground.

West Coast started to get their outside game going early in the quarter winning 15 more uncontested possessions in the opening seven minutes.

The Eagles scored the first goal of the term at the 15 minute mark.  It came from a free kick - their 14th of the match.  At the same stage the Bombers have four.
