Essendon will be without Georgia Gee for at least three weeks after the forward suffered a calf injury last week.
Head of Medical Services Megan Smith said Gee is progressing well with her rehabilitation.
“Unfortunately, Georgia was a late out from our round seven team after suffering a calf injury at training,” Smith said.
“We are hoping to have her back running by the end of the week with the aim of a round 10 return.”
Lily-Rose Williamson is also getting closer to returning, with the 19-year-old cleared to integrate back into full training and will likely play in a scrimmage match over the coming weeks.
The Bombers will be without Daria Bannister for the remainder of the season after scans confirmed yesterday a ruptured ACL.
