The Essendon players endured one of their toughest sessions of the 2002 pre-season when they visited the CFA camp at Fiskville near Ballarat last Friday. The players started the day with a torturous run up 'Heartbreak Hill' - a climb which fully tested their fitness. It was then time to slip into the protective clothing and find out about life as a firefighter. The players had to combat gas blasts, burning tankers and also rescue and effigy of coach Kevin Sheedy. Essendon supporters will be pleased to know the coach was rescued in one piece.
