Former Melbourne forward Liam Jurrah will line up for the Tiwi Bombers in the Northern Territory Football League this season.

Jurrah will be reunited with former Melbourne teammate Austin Wonaemirri who already plays for the Bombers.

The pair have been in constant contact over the last few weeks, believed to be a catalyst behind the move.

Jurrah told NT News during the week he was looking forward to the new challenge of lining up for the Bombers.

“I just want to get out of Alice Springs and start playing footy again,” Jurrah said.

Jurrah is expected to make his debut against the Wanderers on Bathurst Island on Sunday after the league approved his clearance.

Tiwi Bombers have had an up and down start to the season currently sitting at 2-2 as they enter their Round 6 clash against Wanderers.

The Bombers are hoping Jurrah can add excitement and ignite the Tiwi forward line for the remainder of the season.
