Kyle Langford's stellar year in Essendon's forward line has been rewarded after being crowned the Liberty Player of the Year.
The 26-year-old, who initially started training as a defender in the pre-season, produced a career-best season with 51 majors to be the Bombers' leading goal-kicker.
For the first time in his career, Langford was also recently rewarded with 2023 All Australian squad selection.
In 2023, Langford ranked third in the AFL for total marks inside 50, eighth for total goals, 12th for total goal assists and 13th for total score involvements.
Langford edged out fellow monthly nominees Zach Merrett, Darcy Parish, Nic Martin and Sam Durham for the award.
The Liberty Player of the Year may not be the only honour Langford jags in 2023, with the forward firmly in Crichton Medal calculations.
