Essendon VFL kicks off its season today against Werribee at Windy Hill.

It will be a new look line-up that takes the field under a new Coach.

Matthew Egan will have 15 AFL listed players at his disposal for the season opener including top ten draft pick Aaron Francis.

Exciting youngsters Gach Nyuon, Yestin Eades and Mason Redman will also be in action.

While Nathan Grima, Craig Bird, James Polkinghorne and Shaun Edwards will be looking to push their names up for a senior recall.

The game begins at 12pm and entry is free.
