Essendon midfielder David Myers has been offered a reprimand with an early plea for striking GWS midfielder Devon Smith on Saturday night.
He can accept a reprimand and 45 demerit points towards his future record with an early plea and due to a six-year good record.
The Match Review Panel assessed the incident as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points).
This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One Offence, drawing 80 demerit points. He has an existing six-year good record, reducing the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 60 demerit points towards his future record.

Myers has also been offered a $1200 fine for wrestling, an early plea reduces the penalty to $900.
