Jye Caldwell has received four AFLCA votes for his outstanding performance against Port Adelaide in round 16.

The midfielder accumulated 24 disposals and kicked two clutch goals in the wet conditions at the MCG, building upon a purple patch of form that has seen him average nearly 25 disposals, five marks and three tackles over his previous six games.

Joining Caldwell with four votes was Zach Merrett, who now sits eighth on the overall leaderboard in what has been a stellar first season as captain to date.

Andrew Phillips also polled three votes for his 33-hitout effort as the Bombers’ primary ruckman, without the assistance of an injured Sam Draper.
