Essendon has received all 30 AFLCA votes from round one's comprehensive win over Hawthorn.
Both senior coaches awarded midfielder Darcy Parish and forward Archie Perkins eight votes each for their stellar performances against the Hawks.
Parish was superb in the Dons' engine room, accumulating a game-high 37 disposals and 13 clearances. Perkins produced arguably his best game in his three-year career, collecting 20 disposals and kicking three goals.
Two defenders in Brandon Zerk-thatcher and Mason Redman were deemed next best, sharing six votes apiece.

Zerk-thatcher thwarted countless attacks with a game-high 12 intercept possessions, while collecting 19 disposals and eight marks. Redman was as dependable as ever with 24 disposals, eight marks and two trademark outside 50 goals.
Rounding out the votes with one each was new skipper Zach Merrett who had 29 disposals, four clearances and three goal assists, while new Don Will Setterfield's 25-disposal, 10-mark and six-tackle performance saw him earn praise as well.
