The Bombers have today facilitated a trade with Richmond for utility Kodi Jacques.
The trade sees the 22-year-old move to the NEC Hangar, with pick No.27 heading to the Tigers.
Jacques played 26 games over four seasons since joining the Tigers in their inaugural year.
Hailing from Bendigo in regional Victoria, Jacques played for the Bendigo Pioneers and then with Richmond’s VFLW program before signing with their AFLW side as an Academy Player.
At 166cm, Jacques is known for her output across all areas of the ground and her strong presence at contests.
AFLW List and Recruiting Manager Georgia Harvey said the club was excited to welcome Jacques to the Bombers.
“Kodi is a great addition to our AFLW program. She’s tough around contests and known for her excellent work rate and defensive pressure,” Harvey said.
“Kodi can play at either end of the ground, while also having the ability to rotate through the midfield. At only 22 years old, she’s still young with a lot of potential and we look forward to watching her development continue at the Bombers.”
The 2023 AFLW Sign and Trade Period commenced today and closes on Monday, March 20 at 5pm.
Essendon’s sign and trade period is proudly bought to you by Liberty Financial.
