It wasn’t that long ago that Alex Morgan didn’t think football was for him.
On a 2014 pre-season camp with the Oakleigh Chargers, he told teammates he was walking away from the TAC Cup competition.
Thankfully he returned and made a significant impression gaining selection in this year's National Championships.
Morgan is a running defender with good foot skills.
At 181cm and 79 kilograms he possesses an excellent side step and was impressive for Vic Metro.
“He’s blessed with perfect speed, has got a great leap, reads the play really well and he’s a great kick,” Oakleigh Chargers Talent Manager Craig Notman said.
“He’s was a 19 year old for us this year – a guy that I probably see in a maturity sense as being a 21,22 year old, but in a footy sense he’s more like a 17 year old so I think there is still a fair scope for improvement, which is exciting.”
