""They are good stories for us because Prismall is having his first full pre-season at the club and McVeigh had a horror year in 2009,"" he said.
""Both players will be extremely important to our midfield this season and it is very positive to see them play so well so early in the year.

The other huge plus for the Bombers was David Hille who moved very well and looks set to play a key role for Essendon in 2010. Hille played the majority of game time which was an excellent sign.
Hamilton said there were promising signs for the new-look 2010 forward line with Scott Gumbleton (two goals) in the best players list and Paddy Ryder doing well when playing forward.
He said Hawthorn recruit Mark Williams got through the game unscathed and will be better for the run and strong marking second-year player Michael Still surprised coaches with his early season form.
""Michael Still kicked two goals and was quite impressive. He is the same age as the fist year guys because we took him as a 17-year-old and he was good today,"" Hamilton said.
""Jay Neagle and John Williams showed glimpses but didn't have a big impact but they will continue to improve over the pre-season.""
Hamilton said the new recruits including Travis Colyer and Jake Melksham should some signs and would learn plenty from today and now know the level they have to get too.
Michael Hurley didn't play in today's game but is expected to be available for the second round of the NAB Cup.
Irishman Michael Quinn (overseas for family reasons), David Myers, Jason Laycock and Tyson Slattery (injured) also did not play.
The Bombers have guaranteed the selection committee some headaches ahead of the club’s NAB Cup opener against West Coast next Friday, braving hot conditions to put on a tightly contested display in their first intra-club match at Shepparton today.
