LLOYD IN DOUBT AFTER MISSING TRAINING
Essendon full forward Matthew Lloyd remains in doubt for this Sunday's match against Adelaide after missing training this afternoon. Lloyd has now failed to train at the Bombers' three sessions this week because of a corked thigh he sustained against Brisbane at Colonial Stadium last Saturday night. ""We would have liked to have got him out there tonight. We will give him to the last minute. We will be guided by Matthew - if he says he feels good then he will play,"" Essendon football manager Matthew Drain said.

As it is, Lloyd has been included in the Bombers' squad that will head to Adelaide late tomorrow afternoon. Omitted from the Essendon squad of 25 named yesterday were Daniel McAlister, Cory McGrath and Joel Reynolds. The two players brought into the side are Andrew Welsh and Rob Forster-Knight with Dean Rioli (suspended) and Shane Harvey (omitted) not making the trip.
Only four weeks to go in the home and away footy season, means there is only four weeks of tipping left in the James Hird Give us the Tip! competition. Bomber supporter Michael Finn is the clear leader at the conclusion of Round 18 with a healthy score of 112 but the leaderboard tightens up from there on. Second placed John Strybosch (99 points) is fighting off Leanne Neville (97 points) in third position and Mark Tarrant (92 points) is hoping to come home with a run, and put himself in contention for a prize.
