Essendon’s David Myers will miss this week’s match against Gold Coast with a back injury.
The midfielder suffered the injury in a collision during the third quarter of the side’s match against Adelaide last Saturday.
“He’s got a little crack in what we call the transverse process,” Club Doctor Bruce Reid said.
“He’s had a pretty unlucky year. He lasted two minutes in the first game and two and a half quarters in his second game.
“He’s got a little crack there so he won’t play this week.”
Myers was making just his second senior appearance of the season after injuring his shoulder in round one.
He ended the match against Adelaide with 22 disposals.
