Make that three.
Mid-season draftee Massimo D’Ambrosio has been awarded the round 16 AFL NAB Rising Star Award nomination.
The 19-year-old becomes the club’s third Rising Star nomination for 2022 after Nic Martin (round one) and Ben Hobbs (round 14).
In only his third AFL games, D’Ambrosio starred, impressing with his mature composure and exceptional kicking.
The dashing defender produced a career-high 23-disposals, six-mark and five-rebound 50 game.

D’Ambrosio will be among 23 nominated players vying to become the overall 2022 NAB AFL Rising Star winner, with the winner to be awarded the Ron Evans Medal, along with $20,000 from NAB and a dedicated private banker.
Dyson Heppell (2011) and Andrew McGrath (2017) are the Bombers’ only Rising Star winners since the award’s inception in 1993.
