ANZAC Day evokes a whole range of emotions among Australians and it is why the time-honoured clash between Essendon and Collingwood is the most moving day on the AFL Calendar. 100,000 people stand in silence paying tribute to those who paid the ultimate price.

As is now tradition, the Dick Reynolds Club plays a significant part in the build up to this magnificent day. Its annual function sets the scene perfectly for what will follow at the MCG and it will do so again in 2008.

This year’s annual Dick Reynolds Club Anzac Day Lunch pays tribute to those VFL/AFL players who served in the RAAF. The lunch will feature an array of guests sure to have those in attendance marvelling at the courage of these men and those they served beside.

The experience of war is something most will thankfully avoid. But the lessons of the past should be learned and occasions such as these are important for that very reason. Please join the Dick Reynolds Club for this very special occasion.
