Essendon Immortal Kevin Sheedy has gathered another accolade in his storied career, earning the Victoria Day Award for Community and Public Service.
Sheedy was honoured on Thursday for his tireless work in the community which has continued after a stellar 27-year coaching career.
The four-time Premiership-winning senior coach was recently inducted as the club’s first-ever ‘Immortal’ at Essendon’s 150-year gala dinner.
Sheedy, who is currently serving on Essendon’s board, was also bestowed at the event as an honorary adoptee to the Tiwi Island’s Mantiyupwi people in recognition for his service to the area and its people.
