Essendon is one win away from a maiden VFLW Grand Final berth following a 53-point drubbing of Hawthorn in Saturday's qualifying final at Windy Hill.
The undefeated Bombers, who were held to a draw against the second-placed Hawks a month ago, sent their rivals a statement in a stunning 8.12 (60) to 1.1 (7) victory.

The win sees Essendon advance to a semi-final against Casey Demons, earning two cracks at making the big dance on Sunday, July 3.
The Bombers were simply unstoppable on their home turf, keeping the Hawks scoreless for three quarters and restricting them to just 20 inside 50s throughout the match.
Despite league leading goalkicker Federica Frew being held to just one major, six individual goalkickers combined for the Bombers, with Natalie MacDonald's three a game-high.

Recent AFLW signings Alana Barba (one goal, 20 disposals, seven tackles, six clearances) and Eloise Ashley-Cooper (19 disposals, four tackles) were prolific, with the former a physical presence as tempers flared throughout a spiteful clash.

Amelia Radford, who was placed fourth in the league for disposals at the end of the home and away season, led all comers with 21 touches.
The Bombers will host the Demons at Windy Hill next weekend, with details to be confirmed in coming days.
