FightMND is gearing up for another exciting fundraiser with the 2018 Daniher’s Drive set to begin on October 11.
The four-day ‘Tour for a Cure’ will begin from Government House in Melbourne and see teams drive across western Victoria and into South Australia before returning to finish in Melbourne on October 14.
The route will take drivers through some of the country’s best scenery, including the Wimmera – an old recruiting zone for Essendon, which became an important hunting ground for the club.
All money will go towards FightMND, which was founded by Bombers legend Neale Daniher to find effective treatments for Motor Neurone Disease with the aim of ultimately finding a cure, and you can contribute to the cause.
You can donate to any of the participating teams and help reach FightMND’s $1,000,000 goal for the event.
The drive has a strong red and black feel, with all of the famous Daniher brothers taking part in the event alongside Anthony Daniher’s three sons (including current Essendon star Joe Daniher) and ex-players Kevin Walsh, Paul Hamilton, David Flood and Ed Considine.
An exciting raffle will also be run, with a $50,000 car to be won by one lucky ticket-holder, and you can CLICK HERE to get your tickets.
Don’t worry if you missed out this year, because registrations of interest are now open for the 2019 Daniher Drive.
