Guy...How is the build up feeling amongst the lads coming into the season?
It has been a management process but most of the returning fellas are on track to be ready by JLT/ Round 1. Young guys are hanging off every word of the returning players, which is great for their education.
Bluey, where do you see Walla predominantly playing in the forward half or back?
At this stage he is training in with the forwards and has avg. 3 goals in match play. He keeps performing the way he is I want him in the midfield. The chemistry with Walla, Raz and Green is exciting at the moment.
Guy - I work five minutes up the road - can you run out and get us some icecream?
What flavour?
Guy, who out of the new recruits has impressed you the most this pre-season?
A lot has been said about Pigeon McGrath, but Jordan "Todd" Ridley has shown composure in traffic and makes good decisions.
Bluey, at this very moment. Who are your three mids for the opening bounce of the season against the hawks?
Based on the pre-season so far, Watson, Heppell and Zach Merrett are looking good so far.
Which of the players is the biggest practical joker? Also, who can you see spending time in the midfield this year that didn't last year (new recruits don't count)?
He is not a player, but Hayden Skipworth leaves a lot of surprises in the coaches offices during the week. Jayden could see more time but he may find it harder now with Watson, Hepp and Myers being back.
Given our midfield depth, which experienced mid (Goddard/Myers/Hocking/Watson/Stanton) is most likely to settle into another position either forward or back on a regular basis?
Most of those boys and given their previous 12 months and/ or age, will see them inside and outside stoppage and some will end up playing half-back and half-forward during the game.
