The Bombers will have two new faces join the playing group for their 2019 pre-season campaign.
Tom Hird and Mason Fletcher will commence training on Tuesday morning in line with the AFL's father-son guidelines.
Tom is the son of past champion player, captain and coach James Hird (253 games), while Mason is the son of Essendon great Dustin Fletcher (400 games).
The pair is eligible for selection by the Bombers at the 2019 national draft, and has been granted permission to train with the squad by the AFL.
Though Mason was eligible for selection in 2018, the 18-year-old opted not to nominate for the national draft after a season-ending back injury, with his priority to consolidate his game via another year in the TAC Cup.
