""The thing to take out of all the injuries is that they all should be available for the St Kilda match after the break,"" Cato explained.
Jason Johnson was the most serious injury and will require surgery during the week for a fractured cheekbone, but the week’s break will save him from missing any football.
""He copped a knock just near his ear, but if you were going to have a fractured jaw, it’s the best place to have it,"" Cato said.
Kepler Bradley was the other serious injury, after he was taken to hospital for precautionary tests after the match with bleeding at the front of his eye.
Bradley’s injury was almost identical to James Hird’s eye injury he copped against Adelaide last season, so the young defender will stay in Perth for the remainder of the week with his family.
""He just now requires a bit of rest and can’t really do any exercise for the rest of this week,"" Cato explained.
Andrew Lovett and Nathan Lovett-Murray are also recovering from heavy knocks during Friday night’s clash, but were in good spirits yesterday and, apart from needing extra ice for some sore spots, are fine.
Ty Zantuck’s ankle recovered better than expected, after it was confirmed he has no structural damage.
And the good news doesn’t stop with the five injured Bombers from the West Coast game.
Dustin Fletcher, who was a late withdrawal from Friday night with an ankle injury will play against St Kilda, while Dean Rioli looks set to be back in action next weekend for the Bendigo Bombers as he recovers from his calf strain.
