Essendon Football Club has this morning accepted the AFL’s sanction under the AFL Player Regulations for the late inclusion of a player on match-day. 

The club has been subjected to a financial sanction of $20,000 after Joe Daniher was brought into the side as a late inclusion during the round five clash with North Melbourne. 

Daniher had not been named in the initial team of 22 players and four emergency players.

Ruckman Zac Clarke was a late withdrawal from Friday’s game, after sustaining a calf bleed.
