Experienced trio return for Bombers
It's crunch time for the Bombers in season 2005 and the Essendon match committee has opted for experience in its time of need. Dustin Fletcher, Dean Rioli and Damian Cupido have been recalled to the Essendon side at the expense of Ty Zantuck, Mark Alvey and Sam Hunt who have all been omitted. Zantuck, Henry Slattery and Jobe Watson have been named as emergencies.

Our resident fan in the outer Darren Snowdon gives his mid season report on the Bombers. ""The most pleasing aspect of season 2005 so far has been the performances of young players such as Kepler Bradley, Jason Laycock, Andrew Lovett, Brent Stanton and Angus Monfries in the senior side. Each look like making their mark at AFL level and Bomber supporters will be looking forward to watching these boys become key components of the Essendon Football Club in the future,"" Snowdon believes.
