Over 3000 Bomber supporters attended the Rebel Sport Essendon Football ClubFamily Day yesterday at Windy Hill. In sunny conditions fans enjoyed thestreet carnival atmosphere on Napier Street. Players mingled with the fans- signing autographs, taking photos and participating in the Rebel Sportactivities.

Justin Blumfield, David Hille, Chris Heffernan and Mark Boltonwere a big hit with the kids in the Rebel Sport area - helping them withtheir handball and kicking skills. The main highlight of the day was theguernsey presentation at 1pm. Master of Ceremonies - the Coach from Fox FM- introduced every player in guernsey order to the sea of red and black,saving captain James Hird until last.The biggest applause of the day wasfor new recruit Paul Salmon.

Coach Kevin Sheedy gave an inspiring speech tothe fans - reminding them about the team's aim and dedication to win the2002 Premiership. After the guernsey presentation, Bomber fans continued toenjoy the roaming entertainment and activities including the jumping castleand giant slide.
