The long-standing connection between Essendon Football Club and the Tiwi Islands stretches far beyond football.

For many years, Essendon has been deeply committed to supporting the Tiwi community through various initiatives, including coaching development, pathway programs and school leadership education. Our partnership extends to the Tiwi Bombers Football Club, which we have proudly supported since its inception in 2006.

Our relationship with the Tiwi people and their rich heritage also strengthens our clubs cultural understanding as we continue to foster greater inclusivity within our Club and the wider community.

We are proud to be a partner of Tiwi Bombers and will continue to support to help bridge the gap between remote Indigenous communities and mainstream AFL.
